President Obama delivered his State of the Union address and called for an additional $4 billion in school funding.
Calling a world-class education “the best anti-poverty program around,” Obama said the 2011 budget he’ll deliver to Congress next week focuses much of the new education spending on competitive grants.
What did you think of his speech? What is your State of the Union? What is the state of your school?

The NEA, once a respected organization, used to represent and present a balanced presentation of information regarding the history and developmental culture which enhanced to students growth of individualism, entrepreneurship, hard work and dedication to their chosen calling in life. All of these attributes have been recently undermined by the direction toward elimination of fact, law and constitutional standing to support an ever growing threat to the very fiber of this country.
Your latest decision to support the Obama initiative of required reading thru the volunteerism of Saul Alinskis’, “Rules for Radicals”, is but one specific facet of the NEA’s direction in their support of Socialism.
You are deliberately contributing to the demise of this country and the international community when you direct our youth, i.e., our future.
Thomas Jefferson stated, “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
The NEA is enabling the Government to waste our future.
Good times are a coming! Five or ten years down the road with RTTT or PTTB (Plumit to the Bottom) we are going to have super teachers and our students are going to kick butt! You just wait and see…LOL
Lets get a new conservative regime. The present govermnet is not workimg.
The 2010 mid elections will be save our nation from complete economic chaos.
